The key insight or lesson of each devotional paragraph is repeated again on the next page for emphasis and to make the lessons stand out when you are browsing through the book. The theme of the devotions is waiting upon God and the lessons He teaches us while we wait. The devotions are brief, reflective, positive, informative, and occasionally humorous. They are encouraging, but also try to be as realistic as possible covering the many facets of waiting including God's discipline and the tough lessons He sometimes has to teach us.
