Publisher's Synopsis
"Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the work that I do he will do, and GREATER works than these will he do, because I am going to my Father". John 14:12 NKJV. "And these signs will follow those who believe ..." Mark 16:17 NKJV These are the promises of the Master to His beloved church. I have always wrestled with the sorry state of the present day church, the lack of fulfillment of the above promises. Was it meant for the earlier church and not the present day church which only displays pathetic gimmicks and no real power nor holiness? "Having a form of godliness but denying the power there of." II Tim 3:5 KJV. The key to a successful Christian life is to "Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else... " Rev 5:1. Mrs Kgalane, provokes the church to reflect and do a deep introspection, a serious soul-searching exercise. To go back to the drawing board and address issues that hinder progress in our Christian journey. Her main focus in this book is not only to point out all the wrongs of the church, but she provides solutions and recommendations for the present and the future church as well. She seeks to shake the believer "as a man is wakened from his sleep". Zach 4:1b. She is urging the church into a state of wakefulness. the loveless church of Ephesus (remember therefore from where you have fallen), the persecuted church of Smyrna, (I know the blasphemy...but are a synagogue of Satan) the compromising church of Pergamum (but you hold the doctrine of Balaam, the doctrine of Nicolaitans, which thing I hate), the corrupt church of Thyatira (because you allow that woman Jezebel), the dead church of Sardis (that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead), the faithful church of Philadelphia (behold I am coming quickly, hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown) and the lukewarm church of Laodicea (because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, ... wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked). She is cautioning the church to get dressed lest the world see her nakedness. I have known Mrs Gloria Kgalane (then Gloria Sekgobela) for a long time, since we were young unmarried Christian girls. All these years (over thirty five), she has displayed a strong Christian character, living her life with integrity. Her love for the Lord is tremendous. She therefore writes from many years of experience as an intercessor for the church. This great life manual is like twenty books in one, and addressing every aspect of the Christian life. It is a must read for every believer. A copy must be found in all Christian churches, homes and Christian libraries. Fasten your seatbelt and enjoy the ride. God bless you all.
