Publisher's Synopsis
This story is about Dick, a handsome cowboy who wanders the desert in search of adventure. Frequently that adventure involves time spent with the wild and rugged men of the old West.Dick was on his way to Comfort Hollow when he was ambushed by a couple of bandits. They took him, all night long, which they all enjoyed thoroughly, but then in the morning, they took his provisions. He didn't enjoy that quite as much. But he decided to continue on his way and good luck led him to come upon another traveler, a handsome mysterious man with a curious cart, and together they traveled to an oasis where they could take a break and get to know each other better. But the good times didn't last long. They were set upon by bandits, then the Sheriff and his posse rode in, looking for those that had made off with some prospectors gold. Along the way they came upon a gang of outlaws and these wild and dangerous men were thrown into the cage with Dick and the two bandits. When they arrived in Comfort Hollow, Dick was separated from the outlaws and thrown in jail with some local ruffians and some drunks, while the outlaws remained outside in the cage, facing an angry mob of townsfolk and the gallows that rose up behind them. That's when there was a commotion out front as the cage was opened and the outlaws were set free, creating chaos. Then the jail window was ripped out and Dick escaped into the night. But who would have done such a thing? Who does Dick have to thank for rescue?Well, none other than Clay, the handsome stagecoach driver, and Manfri, the mysterious Gypsy fortune teller who had revealed himself to be a hot man. Manfri had warned Dick that he was heading into danger, and now Dick saw that it had been true.Dick, Clay, and Manfri rode off into the night on stolen horses. The three of them were outlaws now. They got as far away from Comfort Hollow as they could, then stopped for a short rest when they were ambushed by three of the naked escaped outlaws. They've been on the run ever since, but Dick knew their time together would soon be coming to an end, he just didn't realize it would happen in such an unexpected and dangerous way.Now Clay, Manfri and Dick are riding for their lives, heading into the unforgiving desert with a stolen horse and a gang of men on their trail. So, as you may or may not know Dick, Manfri and Clay are on the run through the desert, having escaped from Comfort Hollow. They're being chased by a posse, led by the Sheriff of Thunderglen. Though Dick would normally be happy to meet up with the man again, considering how well they got along when they first met, his current situation, of being an outlaw on the run, prevented the possible encounter from being one he'd gladly enjoy. For Dick was on the run with his friends Clay and Manfri, as well as three young outlaws who'd joined their little group. After a brief run into a small town to pick up supplies, Dick and Manfri returned to the camp to find that all hell had broken loose. Armed men had found them, though it wasn't the posse that had been in pursuit, but rather others, possibly out for reward. Dick and Manfri arrived in the thick of things, and the outlaws who had been, reluctantly, part of their group were getting away with their horses, supplies, and guns. Dick had expected that they would be parting ways soon, he just hadn't expected it to be like this, so sudden, without planning, and leaving them weaponless.Catch up with Dick and his friends as they drive deeper into the desert, looking for escape.
