Being a middle-schooler is hard enough, but starting at a new school in a new town mid-year feels impossibly hard, especially when you're Luna. Luna's the quiet girl with lots of smarts and imagination who's spent a good chunk of her school years being targeted simply for being different. Her overactive imagination brings comfort while simultaneously creating some very awkward social situations.
However, this time Luna wants things to be different. She no longer wants to be the strange, lonely little misfit. But try as she might, her overzealous imagination creates obstacles as she wades through the shark infested social waters of seventh grade. And to make things worse, she's garnered the attention of Minnie and for whatever reason Minnie has decided that she does not like Luna!
