Why do I write? When I write a poem, I am searching for words to bridge the gap between my mind and yours. Some of my poems are true, others are fiction, but they all tell the story of what's happened to me on Earth, my reach for happiness, about what I love, and what I have lost. Our stories are uniquely ours and also universal, which is why we can share them. Why is Poetry Important? Poems are arrows that fly from heart to heart, touching us like nothing else can. They remind us that we are all companions in life, which gives us another reason to love each other. Finding words to share our humanity -- that is the business of poetry.
