Meats and Dairy Products. - The production of meats and dairy products is next taken up from figures compiled through the Census of Manufactures. The operations of creameries and cheese factories are covered as well as those of packing houses and abattoirs. Summary statements are included showing stocks on hand in cold storage and process of cure during 1920, together with tables showing the visible supply of hides and skins during 1920. The inter provincial movement of meats is next traced. The latter figures are-compiled from bills of lading filed in the office of the Veterinary Inspector General under the Meat Inspection Act.
International Trade. - The international trade in live Stock and animal products is also shown. Tables are included showing the exports and imports of Canada by both quantities and values. Data are included showing Canada's position in the live stock industry in comparison with other countries.
