Publisher's Synopsis
This marks the eighth (8th) book in the series - 'Progressive literacy 3+', written to aid teachers and parents in providing quality education.
It primarily contains three(3) things: 1. Development of handwriting through letter tracing 2. Mastery of basic letter sounds, or (if the teacher prefers) mastery of letter names 3. Acquaintance of the learner with the English Language Those come with a lot of other beneficial activities to provide an exhaustive, but flexible framework, which, nevertheless, does not lose sight of its main target - literacy. May the teacher take a breath: 'Haste less speed'. This is a workable method. Look right on, and you will see the fruit of your labour - it might not be immediate, and you might be tempted to jump out - But believe these words: we've been there: stick to this path and you will be stable and profitably practical. It is well known that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. It will be a frustration and a push to quit if we expect mastery from our students in a day, two, or seven - Progressive literacy takes all that into account. In our present lesson - Little Foxes' Phonics 1Hh, the primary targets are 1. Learning the sound that the letter Ee makes or the name of the letter if the teacher prefers to go that route 2. Strengthening a child's hand for better free handwriting through tracing 3. Acquainting the learner with the English Language And those three will surely happen by the end of Little Foxes Phonics 1. Moreover, a parent and teacher will sing with their child and student, they will learn a story - they will colour, they will revise a shape, and learn another etc. and they will be tired, because... they would have worked. Happy teaching!
