Publisher's Synopsis
A family saga which is a sequel to "Lily of the Valleys" and is set in the South Wales mining valleys in 1921. Lily Walters, married to a miner ten years her senior falls in love with a doctor with a crusading conscience. She maintains appearances in deference to the valley's prudishness.
