It is curious to observe the keen manner in which reviewers detect casual slips in books which come under their notice, while in their short reviews they themselves fall into similar misadventures. It is even stranger when reviewers make it manifest that they have not even skimmed the volumes they profess to have read. Several of our American reviewers took upon them to assert that the work on Daniel and his Prophecies owed its origin to a course of lectures delivered in July 1905 at the Summer School of New Milford, Conn., under the patronage of Bishops of the Protestant Episcopal Church of the United States.
