Publisher's Synopsis
Casey Celski was born and raised on a farm in Wisconsin and, as a young man, answered the call to serve during World War II. As a Catholic boy, he was thrilled to be stationed in Italy where he took the opportunity to visit the Vatican and be blessed by the Pope. A greater call was presented to Casey and without thinking of the danger, he accepted. This is how it happened that he became part of the first Special Forces unit called The Black Devils. Young author Halie Parkinson and young artist Jacki Olson have done an excellent job bringing Casey's important story to life.
