John Trull, a young Canadian hears about England's situation. He volunteers to help in the fight. John trains in Canada to become a pilot. He loves flying but on his first mission over occupied Belgium he quickly realizes the perils of war.
"No! My plane is out of fuel and there is a German airdrome below me. I can't land here but how far can I glide. I can't be seen. How will I get back to England? Will I ever get to see the lovely English girl that I have fallen in love with?"
