Publisher's Synopsis
A double bill of Cameron Diaz pictures. In 'A Life Less Ordinary' (1997) the angel Gabriel orders his subordinates Jackson (Delroy Lindo) and O'Reilly (Holly Hunter) to make rich girl Celine ( Diaz) and impoverished janitor Robert (Ewan McGregor) fall in love. When Robert is fired by Celine's father, Neville (Ian Holm), Celine convinces Robert to 'kidnap' her, so that they can split the ransom. The pair goes on the run, but their love affair seems doomed. This Hollywood debut for the 'Shallow Grave' and 'Trainspotting' team features the usual hip soundtrack, including tracks by Beck, Ash and Underworld. In 'Very Bad Things' (1998) Laura (Diaz) and Kyle (Jon Favreau) are a happy couple, about to celebrate the wedding of their dreams. To help set them off in style, Kyle's buddies organise a stag night that turns out to be unforgettable - for all the wrong reasons. During the debauched festivities, a young stripper is killed and, rather than going to the police, Kyle is convinced that he should dispose of the body in the desert. This sets off a chain of events, which quickly spirals out of control.
