Publisher's Synopsis
It's great to have noble and inspiring role-models but what about bad role-models? What can we learn from them? The Bible depicts men and women as they really are without glossing over their failings. People like Jezebel, Ahad and Herod the Great who lied, cheated and murdered to achieve their aims. Their stories are clear examples of how not to live: to learn from their huge mistakes and not to go down the same path. As well as depicting individuals, Jesus used people groups such as the Pharisees to teach the disciples. Their bad examples of praying, fasting and giving were used by Jesus to convey positive principles. From childhood, we all learn from other people, so in this issue let's learn from the rogues in the Bible and behave differently.
