Publisher's Synopsis
For close to twenty years, from the mid nineteen eighties until the early years of the twenty-first century, my husband and I were immersed in the 'swingers' lifestyle searching for other couples with whom to exchange partners for sex. During those years, together we had experiences ranging from the banal, to the outrageous, to the surreal. My writing details many but certainly not all of the incidents, fun times, and embarrassing moments to which we were party. Although there is very little actual hard-core sex involved in the content, this volume contains many vignettes, a fount of observations, and some guidelines that will: excite some, fascinate others, and interest everyone in a relationship. Chapters are detailed and informative making potential 'players' future experiences safer, more fruitful, certainly more interesting, and of course, much more fun. Stop to consider other sex memoirs. Thy Neighbor's Wife by Gay Talese was a voyeuristic memoir. Whereas, I'm With the Band: Confessions of a Groupie by Pamela Des Barres was a boastful memoir; and, The Kiss by Kathryn Harrison was a confessional memoir. My novel, Lessons Inside 'The Lifestyle': Adventures in Consensual Infidelity, is a teaching memoir - brutally and painfully truthful, as well as laughable - written and designed for all couples, especially those interested in consensual non-monogamy.
