Le ceneri di Roma è un poema destrutturato, filosofico, esistenziale e sociale, anteceduto e succeduto da dissertazioni antropologiche e filosofiche.L'avvento della pandemia di Sars Covid19 ha inciso psicologicamente sull'umanità, e le mutazioni sociali cagionate dalla detenzione domestica e dalle anti-umane, qualora si definisca il bipede ζῷον πολιτικόν, restrizioni hanno deformato lo stato di cose repentinamente, attentando al dogma psicologico che soggiace alla quiete antropica dell'immutabilità. Tuttavia, l'isolamento domiciliare e il distanziamento hanno messo in mostra la solitudine esistenziale dell'uomo nonché l'inettitudine sostanziale vincolante egli al giogo della natura, che con indipendenza verso i parametri di superiorità artificiosi mediante i quali l'uomo si elegge vate, la natura condiziona il pericolante condominio sul quale egli si arrampica come fosse ancestrale albero suo.
Altresì, rimemorando l'amico Alessio defunto, il poeta viaggia alla volta di Roma Capitale fruendo dell'infrastruttura ferroviaria meneghina di Milano Centrale, ove egli si strugge dianzi alla cinesi del ghiaccio che omologa il vivere di milioni d'animi che negano la propria speciosità per motivi economici e sociali, di inserimento in società. La redarguizione sulla degenerazione dell'intessuto comunitario italiano, nondimeno, circoscrive un'assai più ampia descrizione critica dell'oscurantismo consumista verso il quale imperversa il sentimento europeo, ormai candeggiato dall'avvento del neoliberismo scientista americano.
Nel cimitero acattolico di Roma, precisamente sulla tomba di J. Keats, termina la prima parte del poema post-cubista, con la temporanea sussiegosa speme che l'amore possa sanificare le ulcere dolenti dell'artista del ventunesimo secolo. Ovvero, la sospensione del razionalismo poetico si esplicita nel verso libero e nella parcellizzata cristallizzazione a-temporalizzata dei sentimenti dell'innamorato aedo, dall'infatuazione idealizzata della musa sino alla decadente presa di consapevolezza della carnalità della Venere. L'idolo, nietszchianamente, viene, hegelianamente, assimilato per mezzo del negativo fattuale, non opponendosi a esso, bensì superandolo, introducendolo nel percorso intimo attraverso la tematizzazione, demistificandone l'aura di sacro infrangibile.
La seconda parte del poema, che ricalca il potere astrattivo come prerogativa della poeticità della prosa in analogia con il Kaddish di A. Ginsberg, Umano alfabeto alieno, smorza l'atavica ampollosità classica della prima parte, disorientando il lettore cosicché egli sperimenti una sensazione di sregolata comunicazione sensoriale, ritmica e frammentata al confronto con Le Ceneri di Roma, nome del poema nonché della prima parte del poemetto, quest'ultima declinata in Arbitrio e Prometeo inumato. In essa si evince l'adesione alla prosodia bop di J. Kerouac, "ammodernata" dall'ermetismo di Mario Luzi nella sua inclusività del contesto cittadino cosmopolita, al quale, invero, è già ispirata Arbitrio, quantunque con un lirismo che si mescia meno soffuso con il concettualismo, più impestato dal modernismo di Manuel Gutiérrez Nájera e dal simbolismo di Paul Claudel al confronto con Umano alfabeto alieno, che si inserisce nel contesto poetico post-beat generation.
