Publisher's Synopsis
This meditation focuses on one aspect of the tension between a life lived in relationship and one that faces the experience of being or feeling solitary, or alone, even in society. The tension is acute between married couples, partners and lovers who know that however close they feel, there will be an end to their togetherness. Is there something that always lasts? Is there a way of holding onto a sense of presence, even in the absence of the other? This is part of a series of meditations on different themes. The author is retired and now writes novels and poetry.
