An essay that questions the idea of the inevitability of death, since it presents that this is the result of inequalities while accessing to the human rights guaranties. It resizes the concept of mortality in Mexico. It poses social, economic, and cultural issues related to health and death in the population. It addresses the definitions of vulnerability, and vulnerable groups in the country. The concepts of birth, morbidity, and mortality are reviewed through statistical analysis which shows the diseases of major causes of death in the territory, and those that can be prevented. Finally, the author offers possible solutions, emphasizing institutions as a tangible part of the State.
