Publisher's Synopsis
This book of music was written for my grandson, Lark Peltier. Lark is autistic and incredibly bright, with a unique way of seeing and experiencing the world. At times, life can feel overwhelming for him-whether it's noise, crowds, or just the busyness of the day-to-day. Over time, we discovered something that helps him find a sense of calm and focus: music.
Through simple patterns, certain tones, and familiar rhythms, music has become a way for Lark to breathe a little easier. It gives him space to settle his thoughts and navigate the world around him. These compositions grew from that connection. They aren't grand or complicated, but each one was created with Lark in mind-written to comfort him, to bring him joy, or simply to share a quiet moment together.
This collection is deeply personal, but my hope is that it might resonate with others as well-whether you have a loved one who finds peace in music or simply enjoy the beauty of a melody. If these pieces bring even a little bit of ease or happiness to someone else's life, I'll consider that a blessing.
This book is for Lark, and for anyone who understands how much music can mean.
