Covering the period from 1770?2000, this collection examines the relationship between landscape and empire by way of a range of literary, historical, and visual matter. Bringing together the work of established as well as emerging scholars, it considers the connections between the mechanics of empire-building, and the way in which landscape was both viewed and imagined.
