Publisher's Synopsis
The Inventory and Monitoring Program of the National Park Service (NPS) is designed to provide reliable and consistent information for assessing the status and trends in the condition of National Park ecosystems. Vegetation mapping is conducted under the inventory portion of the program in order to provide basic information readily useful for making resource management decisions, and to collect data that can be aggregated on a service-wide level for designing monitoring programs.
