Publisher's Synopsis

This is a fictional book about an eighteen-year-old princess living on an island in the middle of the sea, a fictional land named Cobweb Island, named after her family. Her father, King Leonardo, does not allow any modern technology or knowledge onto the island and orders that all residents must live in a medieval setting. Lucinda, our main character, the princess, does not approve of this, the Queen is too afraid to say otherwise about the rules. Her servant, Belle, brings her gifts from the modern world, such as a guitar since she loves listening to modern rock music from afar from her window. She is in love with the prince on the Southern side of the island, whose family is enemies with the North, where Lucinda is from. They see each other but once a year secretly. The princess then learns that the King wants to force her into marriage with a terrible, drunken duke who beats women. She takes matters into her own hands and takes her own life on her wedding night, emerging as a ghost. She meets a sharp-tongued vampire who helps her discover her hidden musical talents and pure passion for the modern world. They form a band with a corpse and a witch, but the question remains: Can she change these medieval and cruel rules now that she is a ghostly bride?
