Lander - Neuzeit, Absolutismus, Industrialisierung, Note: 2,0, Universitat Mannheim, 11 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In den meisten wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten zur Franzosischen Revolution wurde die Groe Furcht entweder kaum oder nur unzureichend behandelt. In dieser Arbeit wurde die wichtigste Literatur zum Thema verwendet und einander kritisch gegenubergestellt. Das Wichtigste der untersuchten Werke ist das Buch La Grande Peur von Georges Lefebvre. Auf dieses ist die Arbeit hauptsachlich aufgebaut; die ubrigen Bucher des Literaturverzeichnisses wurden entweder als Erganzung oder als antithetische Gegenuberstellung verwendet. Um den Einstieg in das Thema zu erleichtern, wird zunachst die Forschungslage kurz dargestellt (II). Damit das Phanomen der Groen Furcht auch wirklich verstandlich gemacht werden kann, ist es wichtig die Ausgangssituation - also die Lage der Bauern - zu kennen und zu begreifen (III). Den Hauptteil der vorliegenden Arbeit bildet das Kapitel La Grande Peur (IV). Hierbei werden zunachst die Grunde, die zum Ausbruch der Groen Furcht gefuhrt haben, aufgezeigt (IV.1). Danach werden die Zusammenhange der einzelnen Ereignisse - und diese selbst - begreifbar gemacht (IV.2). Im nachsten Unterkapitel wird die Verbreitung der Groen Furcht dargestellt (IV.3). Hier wird gezeigt wie sich die Angst geografisch verbreitete, von wem sie weitergetragen wurde und wodurch sie sich hauptsachlich ausdehnte. Nach dem Ende der Groen Furcht kamen zwei Haupttheorien auf, die zur Entstehung der Panik gefuhrt haben sollen. Diese werden in Verschiedene Theorien und Versionen einander gegenubergestellt (IV.4). Zu guter Letzt werden die weitreichenden Folgen der Groen Furcht, die sich sehr wohl auf den Verlauf der Franzosischen Revolution ausgewirkt haben, beschrieben.
