However, before anyone can protect her and the amulet, Gordon has Carter kidnapped and brought to him, believing the ancient talisman will restore his own humanity. Carter is the only one who can control the true power of the gift, one that had been made for her by her soulmate in a past life, before being Lost in Time after her previous incarnation's death.
