More ambitious learners can easily cover more ground, more rapidly. It is recommended that students first read the sound each kana makes, then trace the stroke order with their fingers. Next, students should color the kana - following the stroke order - while keeping its sound in mind as they work. Simply slowing down and engaging with the form and sounds of each kana in this way allows the brain to more easily process it.
