Publisher's Synopsis
The present volume results from a lecture series at Paderborn University in 2017 and provides an overview of the current state of the arts in Comparative Literary Studies. The contributions discuss various challenging issues of the discipline, such as (1) the shift from literary to cultural studies, (2) possibilities of continuing and re-establishing traditions, and (3) concepts of transcultural Literary Studies that range from Antiquity to present time.
