Publisher's Synopsis
God's Kingdom is, first and foremost, the domain of the King, Jesus Christ. A King is one who rules in a domain and currently He rules in the hearts of men who have submitted self to Him. Those who have submitted to Him are subject to His authority. His authority rules over all the types and avenues of government used today by men, whether kingdoms, dictatorships, democracies, republics, or as individuals. For us to abide eternally in this Kingdom, we have to come to a decision to submit to the King. All humans who refuse such a decision will be left to partake of the destruction that faces the king of this world system.
Jesus came the 1st time to take care of the sin problem for man.. The 2nd time He comes He will set right many additional things, and will begin to rule His Kingdom with a rod of iron, since many men will not want to yet accept His authority. But there will be great rejoicing in heaven and with many on earth at His coming to set up what shall be the manifestation of His Eternal Kingdom.
There is coming liberation and a manifestation of the Sons of God that will be greeted by the entire earth with great joy. This animate and inanimate creation awaits and longs for God to reveal His sons, so that it too can be liberated. Though creation was condemned to lose its purpose, due to man's sin, there is hope today that creation itself will be set free from the slavery it is suffering. The decay that creation has put up with for some 6,000 years, which has put it under great strain, will be relieved as it shares in the glorious liberty of the subjects of the King at the appearing of His Kingdom.
This freedom, this glorious liberty, has come in one sense to His Sons who have perceived and received it. It comes first internally and it shall be manifested in the lives of His followers, in this life, and eventually it will be manifested externally in the Millennial Reign, and for eternity. In the meantime, may we learn what it is to serve the King as Kingdom Citizens, and may our wait for His full and complete reign not be long.
