The year is 1666, and Oriana Dubois is an eighteen-year-old girl working in her grandmother's jewelry store in La Rochelle when her boyfriend, Jacques, disappears. Oriana learns the truth about her parents' death and a mysterious moonstone pendant that her grandmother keeps locked away in the attic.
If she wants to save the man she loves she must steal the moonstone and return it to the Celestial Order. But in order to do this, Oriana must first transform herself from a bookish shopkeeper to a lethal assassin.
