Publisher's Synopsis
Karen and Dave are back for their fourth Camino. This time they are walking up the Coastal Route from Porto, Portugal into Spain, to Santiago de Compostela. It's October 2018 and Karen's mom had just died about three weeks earlier. This is a personal account as Karen interweaves her pilgrimage with attempts to reconcile her feelings and her relationship with her mother. It is not always pleasant, some of the memories are a bit raw at times, but she hopes her experience might help others who are struggling with their feelings after a loved one has died when the relationship is not all one would have hoped, and not exactly what was on the surface. Included are stories of side trips to London before the walking starts, and to Fatima and Sintra in Portugal after the pilgrimage is concluded.
