Karen Beth is pulled down into a crack beneath her bed by the dust bunnies, and finds herself in the Land of You Lost It and We Found It, where all lost objects end up. There, she meets many strange characters, including Soldier Sam, a lost boy doll, Mr. Bear, who lives in a house built of lost homework, and the old woman of bad thoughts who takes an instant dislike to her. With the help of Mr. Bear, Karen Beth returns to her home, but she can't stop thinking about Soldier Sam and how she might help him to go home too. Further books in the series follow Karen Beth's adventures in the Land of You Lost It and We Found It and the many characters she meets.
