Hi, We're Brightlings, a community of girls around the world!
Our mission is to harness the power of storytelling to equip girls with the confidence and tools to be the heroes of their own story.
It's more important now than ever to hero brave and confident girls in literacy. We want girls to live with boldness and curiosity everyday by using their voice and pursuing their dreams. Books are important as windows to other worlds, but they can and should also be mirrors, demonstrating the bravery and creativity we are capable of. Brightlings' tell stories through evolved female characters navigating the complexities of girlhood.
One way we do this is through BookCamp. Brightlings BookCamp is a fun, interactive 6-week experience designed to guide 8-12 year old girls through the journey of writing and publishing their own chapter book.
No, seriously- every girl will be a published author with copies of her very own book by the end of the six weeks! We use the "Heroine's Journey" as a framework for showing girls the power of storytelling.
Personalized direction from the Brightlings Team along with feedback from a community of girls around the world will help bring the stories inside each of their hearts to life.
