Dear Reader, It is with heartfelt gratitude that I offer this small token of my deep appreciation for all of the support you and others have shown for my efforts in chronicling the adventures of my dear cousin, Kamaka Holmes. When I embarked on my journey to Hawai?i, I had no idea my life would take such an adventuresome turn! Kamaka's determination to become the first consulting detective in her island home, in emulation of the illustrious Mr. Sherlock Holmes, her renowned third cousin once removed, has embroiled us in numerous escapades no less outré than those chronicled by his own Boswell, Dr. John H. Watson. And so I present for your enjoyment this third chronicle in The Adventures of Kamaka Holmes. In addition to relating the adventures of my cousin, I also thought to note down recipes for our holiday celebration. I hop you enjoy them as much as we did! And, I thought I should point out that though it is entitled Ka Pohaku Makamae-The Adventure of the BlueCarbuncle, I do confess that in my own mind I think of this as The Adventure of the Christmas Goose!
