This collective volume deals with highly topical and doctrinally controversial matters, which by their nature and consequences are of interest to both experts and the general public._The themes of the volume are: State terror, electoral systems, the Islamic State, Ecosophy, human rights and cooperation for development, biotechnology, the right to intellectual property and copy left, criticism of the modern concept of law and democracy, the relationships between law, power and the internet, criticism of the classic models of democracy and the defense of a new model and finally the similarities and differences between indigenous rights and Western rights._The co-authors already published in this editorial in 2011 the volume Theory and fundamentals of Law on the classic topics of the Philosophy of Law and Politics with a clear pedagogical intention._Now they bring to light a new volume that addresses the new and controversial issues of their specialty, with a critical spirit and a more open methodology._The co-authors consider that Legal-Political Philosophy should be open to new questions, which present doubts and challenges to legal reflection, even when they are not classic topics (that is: old topics) of the area of __knowledge. It is the objective of the edition that each author writes a synthetic and updated chapter on the subject in which he is a specialist and on which he has numerous publications.
