Publisher's Synopsis
Far in the future -- or perhaps in some alternative universe -- a young, slightly autistic boy nicknamed Juvie Dexter attempts to describe the mystifying events set in motion by the creative imagination of his father -- writer and painter, Atom Johnson. Following a narrative that flows unevenly between the twin story banks of the country of Bolivia (where he was born) and the town of Chasewind (located geographically in the so-called "Cargo Cults of America"), we join Juvie Dexter in his naive yet profound ruminations on the nature of being, the mystery of personality, and the endlessly fascinating, infinitely unique and quirky detailing of existence on this earth.
