His Father, who was of the fame name, was a Glazier by trade, and likewife a Citizen of Philadelphia. A perfon, whole great natural capacity for Mathe matics, has occafioned his name to be known in the learned world being (as has been heretofore {hewn by undeniable evidences) the original and real inventor of the very tifeful and famous Sea-%adrant which has been called hadley's.
