Publisher's Synopsis
This book - written within the frameworks of the program Christianity & Society, Tilburg School of Catholic Theology, Tilburg University - investigates the existing juridical foundation to religious education in Ukraine, an Eastern European state of the post-Soviet Eastern Block, in order to promote the democratic notion of religious tolerance and the development of a culture of living together in the multicultural and poly-confessional society. The main research focus is on the national juristic canons and the interpretations in the broader European spectrum of religious education. For this purpose, the following juridical constitutional and administrative/public laws of Ukraine are considered: the Constitution of Ukraine and educational law of Ukraine.
