By 2590, the Scourge has languished for fifteen years, and has become legend among mercs and bounty hunters seeking to claim its valuable cargo. The Security Contractors' Union has been awarded the contract from the Jovian Union of Governments, allowing them the only legal passage onto Ganymede, otherwise a firmly blockaded moon. Nadine Marchant is an Awakened reptilian, a mercenary in the SCU's employ and a veteran for a decade. She's known for her pragmatism and cold brutality in combat, loyal to her Commander to a fault. She must lead her team through hell, battling insects and humans alike as orders from above seem to disregard the lives of her troopers. As the body count sharply rises across Ganymede and the Solar System brews into its first interplanetary war, Nadine begins to question everything she thought she knew about the SCU, the Jovians, and just what exactly lies underground on Ganymede.
