Journaling Through Romans is a tool to help you think deeply about Scripture. Writing out the Bible slows down the speed at which we process our reading of Scripture. We are forced to look at every word, to repeat it in our minds until we get it on paper, and to give careful consideration to every syllable. Through this process and with the help of the Holy Spirit, we see things we missed before; connections that we overlook when we read quickly over familiar texts. As you write out the text of Romans, you may want to record these insights in the journaling space provided in the book. Or you might choose to use the journaling section to record what is happening in your life now - a spiritual diary. You might choose to write out your prayers to God during your devotion time, or perhaps you'd like to use the journaling space to record comments and insights on the text from other sources like sermons or commentaries. There is no wrong way to use this resource.
