Publisher's Synopsis
Two Christmas specials for the sleuthing duo. In 'Black Canary', Jonathan (Alan Davies) is surprised to receive a call from the former love of his life, Charlotte Carney (Kate Isitt), asking for his help when her mother Marella (Hannah Gordon) shoots herself. While Maddy (Caroline Quentin) struggles to control her jealousy, Jonathan finds himself in competition with dashing detective Gideon Pryke (Rik Mayall), who wonders if former illusionist Marella's death is in any way linked to that of her twin sister fifteen years earlier. In 'Satan's Chimney', Jonathan is called to a film set when an actress is murdered, and is puzzled as to how the killer managed to fire a gun through a plate glass window without breaking it.
