The Michigan Murders was a series of highly publicized killings of young women committed between 1967 and 1969 in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area of Southeastern Michigan by an individual known as the Ypsilanti Ripper, the Michigan Murderer, and the Co-Ed Killer.
John Norman Collins was responsible for the "Michigan Murders"...Collins killed young women between 1967-69 in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area of Southeastern Michigan. He targeted victims between the ages of thirteen and twenty-one, kidnapping, sexually assaulting, and later killing them. It took three years before authorities finally caught up to Collins, catching him one week after his latest murder. What possessed Collins to commit these awful atrocities and how could do get away with the crimes for so long?
