James Curtis Geist is a graduate of Nyack College and the Alliance Theological Seminary. He served as a pastor in NYC for five years and as a high school history teacher in NYC and Newark for sixteen years. In 2012, he was voted Teacher of the Year and has served as an activist against modern day slavery, genocide in Sudan, sweatshops and child labor.Since 2016, Geist has written a memoir, eight books of poetry and anecdotes, five children's books and books on U.S. History, Global History and on the United States Presidents. Geist lives in the woods of northern New Jersey and is married to a Filipina on the verge of getting her U.S. citizenship.
