The pictures depict aspects of Jewish religious behaviour in public and private contexts and aim to give the student an idea of the traditions behind it life. The text on the back of each picture is written for the benefit of the teacher.;The format and composition of the pictures allows them to be used in a variety of ways in the classroom. The text gives the teacher the raw material from which he and she may develop a lesson. It is important to note that the series does not try to set out the orthodox beliefs and practices of the faith but to show the variety that exists within the religion and how it shapes the lives of those who follow its precepts.
