Publisher's Synopsis

Monte's relationship with God has lead him to ask some provocative questions that link to this book. For example, before the development of the internet, he wondered if the genealogy of Jesus could really be traced through scripture. After three years of research and thirty-five feet of butcher paper, he linked Adam to Jesus, which also explored the genealogy of the twelve tribes of Jacob.

A similar question sparked this book. During a Bible study involving the Lazarus story, Monte asked the pastor leading the study why Lazarus's resurrection from the dead would not make him immortal. The pastor could not answer the question, and since then, three other ministers to whom the question was posed could not do so.

This book begins by considering the possible life of Jesus based on both scripture and speculation related to growing up with his cousin, John the Baptist, and his love for Lazarus and his family. When Jesus brings Lazarus back to life, Jesus informs him that he will be immortal but must live on earth until Jesus returns in the Second Advent. Just imagine the trails, challenges, and evolving situations Lazarus must navigate as a disciple of Jesus through two thousand years of immortality right up to the present time.
