Publisher's Synopsis

Jazzie the Cat Finds a Home is based on a real cat and the true story of how a family adopted him. Why is this story different? It's a story of survival, friendship, life lessons, love and adoption. The book is primarily directed at children ages 6-10, but the story will engage people of all ages. This is the first in a series which will feature friends that Jazzie meets along the way: Watson the Dog, Mrs. Purrcel, Jazzie's newest cat friend Bella Blues, and the rest of his new family. As the story begins, a kitten struggles to survive on the street and longs for a family and a name. He meets Watson, a singing dog, and a friendship forms. A sweet and elderly neighbor, Mrs. Purrcel, feeds the kitten and his friends as they "meow" songs of gratitude for her kindness. When Mrs. Purrcel moves away, the little black cat begins to feel lonely, tired, and hungry. He wonders if he'll ever be part of a family and have a name, but the kitten never gives up hope and uses all of his talents to follow his dreams.
