Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus), is a species of tree in the fig, mulberry, and breadfruit family (Moraceae) and is widely esteemed in tropical Asia. The jackfruit tree is well-suited to tropical lowlands, and is widely cultivated throughout south and southeast Asia.
