Publisher's Synopsis
This is a one of a kind book written in the Tz'utujiil Mayan Language of Guatemala. Matthew "Mateo" G. Russo was a missionary in Guatemala where he acquired the skill of speaking Tz'utujiil (Tzijob'al). This book is a Tz'utujiil translation of, "Four Seasons for Grandpa" which is a book originally written by Matthew in the fourth grade. Matthew won the Lorain County Young Authors Award in 1999 through his children's book. Matthew hopes that with this publication, he can renew an interest in Indigenous Languages of the Americas and preserve the dialect of Tz'utujiil that he learned in Guatemala since 2013.
