Publisher's Synopsis
To kill, or not to kill? That is the question . . .
But what is the answer? Wilhelmina "Will" Valentine, senior at Universal High School considers this dilemma when she finds herself befriended by Jacqueline Feldman, the most popular girl in school, who offers her the proposition. Seems Jacqueline has some issues of her own. It does not help matters when the new student, Chance Jack, gleefully-if not naively-invites himself into their freak show of a friendship. Should she join Jacqueline in her quest for seeking out and eliminating the very worse in the quiet town of Nowheresville, or continue retreating into the solitude of her art in order to cope with her own loss?
Perhaps there was a way to combine art and murder for the betterment and enjoyment of all.
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind by my hand
To aid, righting the wrongs of voided justice,
Or to discount the plight of victims: like me,
And by ignoring such, snub myself and them;
Unhealed; never-ending nightmare, awake
Still, crying out, reaching for validity
In a torrent of vice. Shall I be the buffer?
Devoutly to be executioner,
To avenge, damning myself; aye, there's the rub.
