Publisher's Synopsis
Come along on a ride with me and my friends, when we were moving and shaking, filling in the literary gaps that surrounded the grunge movement. We could make more money with a group of writer/readers than the club could make booking three bands no on knew about. Our readings were being written about in the newspapers. We put on big shows with violin and pig drawing contest half times. We drank, and partied and loved and broke up. We took road trips to San Fran, to Kerouac Alley, and we were sure MTV was going to make us famous. The women got married and had kids, the men grew up and decided there was no future in writing, better to try make some money. Xavier Cavazos got out of jail and went straight to Iowa U, where he picked up some paper and now he teaches and is married and has like 8 or 9 kids and still manages to put out a book of poetry every so often. Me, I'm still writing, still growing, still in school. Going to work for the post office and working on a novel. These are some of my favorite stories. Enjoy...
