Bookseller Notes

Little seems to be known about Paul Olinger. The portrait shows him aged 37 in 1554. His coat of arms is impressive (a griffin rampant). In the years 1554 and 1555 he published a couple of pamphlets on legal ethics (which are referred to by Leibniz), and the present rare little work. He refers to Sebastian Derrer as his teacher, and builds on the works of Hegendorfin, Rasius, et al.
