Publisher's Synopsis
A priest who was unable to get to the wedding of a couple he was fond of decided to send them a telegram to wish them well. The message he wrote contained a Bible verse, 1 John 4: 18 - `There is no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear.' Unfortunately the operator missed out the first `I' and sent the reference as John 4: 18 - `The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband.' This is just one story from this hilarious collection of urban myths and apocryphal tales, church style, where the source - inevitably - is always `a friend of a friend'. Fact is often stranger than fiction, and church life is no exception, as these hugely entertaining stories prove.
