Publisher's Synopsis
Comedy directed by Michael McCarthy and based on the play by Felicity Douglas. Laura Hammond (Phyllis Calvert) is a busy housewife with a large family who doesn't seem to appreciate her. Unbeknownst to them, however, she is composing a film script in what little free time she has. When this gets picked up by film producer Stephen Hodgson (Guy Rolfe) who wishes to turn the script into a Hollywood movie, she jumps at the chance. However, she soon realises that the dysfunctional frantic atmosphere of her family home is what enables her to write. She must decide between becoming a notable well-paid author or an underappreciated housewife.
